| Sheet metal curling is a beading with the formation of a curl or lip.
If working on an external flange the curling is carried out horizontally while ferrules, pipe, tube or dish ends are vertically curled.
The beading and curling machine will produce closed or open, inner or outer curls as required.
The purpose of this operation is to remove the sharp edge on a plain end. The curl is obtained with shaped rollers and diameters range from 3 to 8 times material thickness.
The units can have a bottom to top movement or horizontal from outside into the piece. |
